We understand that sometimes orders need to be cancelled. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for order cancellations.


1. Cancellation Eligibility Window ⏰

Orders can be cancelled under the following conditions:

✅ Cancellable (Free):

  • Before Dispatch: Orders can be cancelled anytime before dispatch with NO charges
  • Cancellation Window: Within 24 hours of order placement (best practice to cancel early)

❌ Non-Cancellable:

  • After Dispatch: Once order is dispatched/shipped, cancellation is NOT possible
  • During Transit: Orders in transit cannot be cancelled
  • Already Delivered: Delivered orders cannot be cancelled (use Return & Refund Policy instead)

2. How to Cancel Your Order 📞

Step 2: Provide the following details:

  • Order number
  • Reason for cancellation
  • Email address & phone number

Step 3: We will verify the order status

Step 4: If not yet dispatched, cancellation is approved

Step 5: Refund is processed to your original payment method

Scenario 1: Single item order of ₹500 cancelled before dispatch

  • Cancellation Charge: ₹0
  • Refund: ₹500 ✅

Scenario 2: Single item order of ₹500 cancelled after dispatch

  • Cancellation Charge: ₹60
  • Refund: ₹440

Scenario 3: 2-item order of ₹800 (₹400 each) cancelled after dispatch

  • Cancellation Charge: ₹60 × 2 = ₹120
  • Refund: ₹680

4. Refund Method 💳

Cancellation refunds are processed to:

  • Original Payment Method: Credit card, debit card, UPI, digital wallet
  • Refund Source: Same method used during checkout
  • Partial Refund: If cancellation charge applies, reduced amount is refunded

6. Partial Cancellation ⚠️

If you ordered multiple items and want to cancel some:

  • Partial Cancellation BEFORE Dispatch: ✅ Allowed (no charge)
  • Partial Cancellation AFTER Dispatch: ❌ NOT allowed (full order must be cancelled or accepted)
  • Contact: Email store@happiehugs.store with order number & items to cancel

7. Why Cancellation Charge After Dispatch? 📦

Once your order is dispatched, we incur costs:

  • Courier label printing & processing
  • Logistics handling & documentation
  • Warehouse re-organization & restocking

The ₹60 per item charge covers these minimal operational costs, which we pass on transparently.

9. Automatic Refund Processing ✅

Important: We DO NOT issue manual refunds. All cancellations are:

  • Automatically processed to your original payment method
  • Subject to bank approval & processing time
  • Tracked via your bank account

10. Non-Refundable Situations ❌

Cancellation refunds will NOT be processed if:

  • Order is already delivered (use Return Policy instead)
  • Product has been used/played with
  • Packaging has been opened/damaged
  • Customer requested cancellation after 24 hours but product not yet dispatched (discretionary)

11. Special Cases & Exceptions 🆘

Duplicate Order Accidentally Placed:

  • Both orders can be cancelled without ₹60 charge
  • Proof required (screenshots, emails)
  • Contact store@happiehugs.store immediately

Payment Declined but Order Placed:

  • Automatic cancellation within 48 hours
  • No cancellation charge applied
  • No refund needed (payment already failed)

System Error/Wrong Order Created:

  • Contact us immediately
  • We will evaluate and cancel without charges as needed
